Clean Tech, a Plastipak company, is a global leading plastics recycler, recycling both PET and HDPE. This site in Dundee, Michigan is one of Plastipak’s four global recycling centers.
At Plastipak, billions of bottles are repurposed annually through our recycling centers in North America and Europe. Using a bottle to bottle approach to recycling, new bottles are made from recycled bottles as part of our commitment to sustainability.
Plastipak is excited to launch its newest sustainability effort Recycling Counts™, an online global community that supports recycling initiatives from Plastipak and its partners.
Plastipak is committed to sustainable packaging from design and development to recycling. Our sustainability initiatives are guided by a bottle to bottle approach to recycling which is accomplished through our recycling affiliate, Clean Tech.
Plastipak Brazil partnered with existing dairy customer, Jussara, through Project ReCiclo (Project Recycling) in an effort to minimize the environmental impact of human activities. Plastipak earned a Sustainability Merit of Honor in recognition of its contributions to the project.
The Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) established a campaign to increase demand for recycled plastics in North America. The campaign aims to increase the use of polyolefin (PP or PE) post-consumer resin (PCR) by focusing on “Work in Process” (WIP) items used in manufacturing, such as trash cans, pallets, tote boxes and recycling bins.
Plastipak’s site in Jackson Center, Ohio earned Certified Green Business status in recognition of its environmental leadership. Plastipak received the certification from Dayton Regional Green, a collaborative sponsored by the Department of Energy and the EPA.
Plastipak continually develops technologies with sustainability as a priority. Direct Object Printing (DOP™) earned DuPont’s 2014 Gold Award for Technological Advancement and Responsible Packaging.
Our mission for Recycling Counts™ is to globally educate individuals and businesses on how to recycle PET and HDPE plastics with a bottle to bottle approach to recycling.
Did you know that when you recycle your used plastic bottles, they can actually be made into new bottles or other useful items? It starts with you simply placing your used bottles into the recycling bin. From there, the bottles are collected from homes, businesses and other recycling sites.
