What Happens After the Bin?

Have you ever wondered what happens to your used plastic bottles after you place them in the recycling bin? Once the bottles are collected in recycling programs such as curbside recycling, they are sent to recycling centers to be washed and processed into recycled resin that can be used to make new bottles and other products.

When you place used plastic packaging in the recycling bin, it enters the recycling stream instead of the landfill. All of our actions work together for the circular economy of plastic packaging. Thanks to the characteristics of PET and HDPE plastics, we can maximize the beneficial features of plastics by recycling over and over again!

How can you make an impact? We welcome you to be part of reducing waste by participating in curbside recycling. Remember to practice Recycling Worth Repeating™ so plastic packaging can be repurposed as new packaging!
